Henry Goldman, founder and principal of Parachute Insight LLC, comes to the company after decades at the highest echelons of journalism. A 22-year veteran of Bloomberg News, his first assignment was as a magazine feature writer. In 2000, he was tapped to start its City Hall bureau.
He's perhaps best known for his even-handed coverage of Michael Bloomberg's 12-year mayoralty. The New York Times described him as ``a reporter's reporter.''
Goldman's experience includes a 17-year stint reporting and editing at the Philadelphia Inquirer including three years as its national correspondent in New York. Prior to that, he was an investigative reporter for six years at The Record in northern New Jersey.
He's currently teaching a course in News Ethics and Values at Fordham University.
A graduate of Amherst College in Massachusetts, Goldman holds a law degree from the University of San Francisco, and is a member of the California Bar. He's also a past University of Michigan Knight-Wallace Journalism Fellow.
